So called because of the influence of the American ‘Easy Rider’ motorcycles or ‘Choppers’. First produced in 1970, it was one of Raleigh’s unique designs in the field of the junior to teenage market. It was intended for street cruising rather than serious cycle riding.

This machine was gold plated to celebrate one million Choppers made.
