October Half Term in Surrey: Family Activities at Brooklands

NEW FOR 2026 There’s been some mysterious motoring mischief going on at the Museum - come along and see if you can solve The Grand Prix Mystery running weekdays this October Half Term. Put your detective skills to the test, uncover the clues and help crack the case before it’s too late!

2026 marks the 100th anniversary of Britain’s first Grand Prix, held at Brooklands - the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit. At the heart of the celebrations is Britain’s Grand Prix Story, a major new exhibition bringing a century of Grand Prix racing to life.

Discover historic racing cars and aircraft, take a Concorde family tour*, hop aboard a vintage bus*, tackle family trails or jump in the driving seat in the new Brooklands Simulator Experience*.

Explore lots of indoor and outdoor areas across the Museum and discover racing cars, buses, airplanes, playground, interactive experiences and more. Children under 4 go free.

Concorde Supersonic Family Tours

Daily, Saturday 17 October - Sunday 1 November
1pm, 1.20pm and 1.40pm
Enjoy a 15 minute tour designed for families with young children on the world's most famous aircraft.
£3.50pp in addition to Museum admission.
Under 4s go free, ticket required. Subject to availability. An adult must accompany children at a maximum of 5 children per adult.
Vintage Bus Rides

Daily, Saturday 17 October - Sunday 1 November
11.30am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3pm
Hop on and enjoy a 20 minute bus ride around the local area from the London Bus Museum.
Additional charge of £3 per adult and £1 per child
London Bus Museum Transportfest

Sunday 18 October
10am 5pm
This event features extensive bus displays, including rarely-seen early examples, coaches, taxis, commercials, military vehicles and more!

Relaxed Morning

Saturday 24 October
10am - 12pm
Visitors who are neurodivergent can enjoy access to the whole Museum with quieter environments and fewer crowds. These mornings aim to create a comfortable, stress reduced experience for anyone who benefits from a calmer atmosphere. Concorde Sensory Tour also available.

NEW Britain's Grand Prix Story Exhibition

Open daily from 10am in the Jackson Shed (Motoring Village)

At the heart of the celebrations is Britain’s Grand Prix Story, a major new exhibition in the Jackson Shed bringing a century of Grand Prix racing to life. Discover the people, machines and moments that shaped Britain’s Grand Prix story, from the daring drivers of the 1920s to modern Formula 1.

Daily, timeslots every 30 minutes from 10.15am until 4pm
The Brooklands Simulator Experience places you in the driver's seat for an adrenaline-fuelled 10-minute challenge around a digitally recreated Brooklands circuit.
£10 per person (£9 Brooklands Members) in addition to Museum admission.
Book the on the day. Minimum height 140cm.
