Update 30th March 2021
We are delighted to announce that Brooklands Museum will be reopening on an outdoor only basis on Fridays and Saturdays 10am - 4pm from 16th April.
You will be able to enjoy takeaway refreshments, visit the original 1907 track and banking, see the outside of our aircraft and walk the grounds where so much happened. Come and whet your appetite for when we are able to reopen fully, indoors and out, from 19th May.
All tickets must be booked in advance. Please book responsibly and in accordance with Government Roadmap out of Lockdown. We can only accept bookings for groups of 6 people including children or 2 households. When at the Museum you must socially distance from anyone you do not live with and not mingle with other groups.
You will automatically benefit from our Covid guarantee: should Government restrictions mean we cannot reopen; you will be entitled to a full refund or to rearrange the date allowing you to book with confidence.
Tickets for the outdoor openings will be available from 1st April.
Update 17th December 2020
Brooklands Museum to close temporarily
Following the government announcement, in line with new Tier 3 restrictions in Surrey, Brooklands Museum will be closed from Saturday 19th December.
If you have booked tickets, we’ll be in touch via email with more details. Please bear with us as we work through contacting everyone.
Whilst we are very sad to have to close our doors once again, we are extremely grateful to everyone who has visited us this year. The fantastic feedback that we have received during this period underlines how much you’ve all enjoyed returning to Brooklands Museum.
We hope to be back open as soon as we can until then keep an eye on our social channels and website for the latest updates.
We are grateful for your continued support and look forward to welcoming into the Museum again soon.
Our original statement, 20th March 2020
Like a lot of organisations, Brooklands is facing a very difficult period over the next few months and beyond. We have been following advice and guidelines very closely and have come to the decision that it is in the best interests of our visitors, volunteers and staff that we close the Museum until further notice. At this time we do not know how long this will be but in the meantime, we will be keeping you updated through the website, social media and e-newsletters.
Many of the events have been reorganised for later in the year in which case your advance-purchased tickets will still be valid. Please see the Events pages on the website for more details.
We are a charity with no regular support from other organisations so the coming months will be very difficult. We still need to care for our collections, buildings and the upkeep of the overall site. Our income has already dropped substantially and we are going to be facing a very serious challenge in the coming months.
If you care about Brooklands, and are in a position to do so, now is the time to show that you #LoveBrooklands by making a donation or helping in other ways. Please join our campaign and give whatever you can in whatever way you can. We thank you for your generosity and look forward to welcoming you back as soon as it is safe and wise to do so.
