The 1940s Relived
- Date May 12, 2018
- Time 10:00a.m. - 9:00p.m.
- Suitable for Everyone
Join us at Brooklands Museum as we turn back the clock to commemorate a decade of fashion, style and celebration at our annual 1940s Relived event!
This is a chance to put your hair up, grab your best period outfit and lace up the dance shoes.
Stock up on vintage gear at our extensive vintage market, featuring some of the best vintage sellers around, providing everything from original and reproduction clothing, shoes, accessories, books, home wares and original memorabilia.
All the usual Museum exhibits will be open but on this day, the site will be filled with periods vehicle displays, buses and re-enactment groups representing a broad spectrum of military and civilian life. Everyone is welcome, vintage attire is not compulsory and you may even find what you're looking for in the trade village to complete your look.
If all this activity gets a bit much head into the Dance Marquee which is back by popular demand behind the Motoring Sheds, where you will be able to refresh yourself with some food and drink, listen to live music, take part in a dance lesson, or put your Jive, Jitterbug and Lindy Hop into practice.
The Brooklands Style Scouts will be on the look out for the best-dressed and the grand final will be in the Dance Marquee where the audience will be invited to cheer for the who they think should win.
Last entry 6pm and the marquee will remain open until 9pm.
Advance tickets will be available online and from the Museum shop.
