Join us for a Quiet Hour this May Half Term

We will be opening our Motoring Village which includes the Jackson shed – British Grand Prix: Where it all began, Campbel ERA Shed - Fastest on earth: Racing Legends of Brooklands and the Barnes Wallis Stratosphere Chamber for a Quiet Hour, for visitors who are neurodivergent to enjoy these areas of the Museum, free from the hustle and bustle of our normal opening hours.

Our Café will be open for our ‘Brooklands Breakfast offer’ and our half term family activities will be running from 9am.

The Museum will then be open as normal from 10am – 5pm when all our exhibit areas will be open.

Concorde Explorers Quiet Tour: a session for our young neurodiverse visitors:

A safe space for exploration for children aged 5-16 with autism or other additional needs, their families and carers to experience Concorde without crowds or excessive sensory stimulus. Additionally, neurodiverse young people can often have a very original perspective on the stories and science of engineering, and we aim to hear and celebrate these alternative perspectives.  We will maintain visual displays without audio, provide ear defenders if required, share some highlights about Concorde and facilitate a handling activity with items of interest and Concorde memorabilia. Families are asked to book The Concorde Quiet Tour on the day in Admissions. There is a maximum of 12 visitors. The Concorde Explorers Quiet Tour is £3.25 per person.

Read our visual story document to acquaint yourself and your young person with what to expect from your Concorde Explorers Quiet Tour.
