This May half term, join us as we explore the science behind speed and aerodynamics!

Have a go at building a mini car in our hands-on activity sessions before testing your car to see how fast it can go!  We’ll also be running our pedal planes & cars,  vintage car rides and London Bus Museum will be operating bus rides around the local area. We will also have special royal crafts for the Jubilee bank holiday weekend. 

Ready to Race family workshops

Join us in the historic car sheds to create your own mini car and then have a go at the big race to see who will be the fastest!

The workshops are free and suitable for ages 6 and over - just drop in!  Workshops will run between everyday between 10.00am-4.30pm

Royal Museum Trail 

Solve the clues, de-code the cryptic messages, and seek the hidden artefacts across the Museum to complete our new Museum Trail. Upon completion head to the shop to claim a treat!  Recommended for ages 8 – 14 years. This will be royal themed.

Concorde Supersonic Walkthrough

A Concorde walkthrough for children, families, and young people. Explore the magnificent Brooklands Concorde, Delta Golf, and hear about the amazing adventures it had! The family-friendly tours will take-off at 10.25, 10.45 and 11.05 throughout half term, and are most suitable for everyone aged 5 or over . We recommend pre-booking tickets for Concorde Supersonic Tours here. Tickets may be available on the day at Admissions (subject to availability). Children must be accompanied by a guardian or adult.

The walkthrough is recommended to children between the ages of 3 and 12, but older children are welcome. The maximum number of children per adult is 5. We advise you strongly to book in advance for these.
 

Pedal Planes and Cars

It's never too early to inspire future race drivers or pilots with our pedal planes and pedal cars for under 5s.

McLaren: Driven by Design - Plus build your own!

Don't miss the Museum's exhibition, McLaren: Driven by Design featuring the Senna Concept and Prototype cars, alongside a life-size LEGO model of the McLaren Spider.  We also have a LEGO build-your-own race car stations where you can make your own supercar!

Hear, See and Smell the magnificent machines

Take an exhilirating trip up Test Hill and along the steep banking of the race track with the Brooklands car rides team. (Thursday and Friday only) Or jump aboard one of London Bus Museum's vintage buses for a relaxing ride out and around Brooklands. 

Car rides Thursday-Friday 11am-1pm and from 2-4pm - weather permitting. Last tickets for car rides at 3.30pm. Visit London Bus Museum for Bus Timetable.  

Brass on the Grass

On Thursday 2nd June we will have a brass band playing outside the paddock area. They will be performing at 10:30am and 11:30am for two 30-minute performances.

 

PLUS: We'll be running a daily BBQ with snacks and drinks available from the cafe, or bring your own refreshments to enjoy in our picnic areas . Pre-book your advance-price tickets now for some half-term fun!
