Escape Trail - Ghosts in the Machine
Grab your pack today and step into the past to uncover the hidden stories of Brooklands like never before. Ghosts in the Machine is our brand-new escape trail experience, created with young people from Eikon, a surrey-based charity supporting young people and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
This interactive adventure challenges you and your family to test your problem-solving, teamwork and lateral thinking skills as you follow clues across the museum site. Instead of being locked in a room like a traditional escape room, you’ll be drawn into puzzles scattered throughout the museum site.
Along the way you will meet ghosts based on Brooklands characters from the past: a few fearless racers, a speed-loving boater, and a pioneering engineer.
Pick up your special pack for £5.95 from Museum Admission. Included in your pack:
- 1 pair of 3D spectre hunter goggles

A collaboration with Eikon
This trail has been co-created with Eikon’s LGBTQ+ youth group, their amazing creativity and enthusiasm has helped shape the storyline and puzzles for the experience. The Museum has been working with the group for two years and they have enjoyed learning about the history of Brooklands and inspiring individuals from its past.
It has all been made possible through funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund with thanks to National Lottery Players.
