2026 marks 100 years since Britain’s first Grand Prix took place at Brooklands – and we're inviting motorsport enthusiasts, supporters and Members alike to be part of this extraordinary celebration during one of the most significant moments in the Museum's history.

Premiere Evening Event
Friday 7 August - From 5pm
Exactly 100 years after Britain’s first Grand Prix, Brooklands will come alive for an unforgettable evening of atmosphere, entertainment and Grand Prix history.
Set against the backdrop of the historic track where British motorsport began, this immersive event will feature over 100 Grand Prix cars spanning the century - from pioneering racers to modern Formula 1 icons.
For one night only, historic racing cars will descend from Members’ Banking and drive along the Finishing Straight in a dramatic tribute to the original 1926 Grand Prix.
Evening highlights include:
- Historic Grand Prix car displays
- Racing simulators
- McLaren Pit Stop Challenge
- Live artwork and auction by PopBangColour
- Live music from Big Band, Down for the Count
- Arrival drinks and luxury food experiences
- Peninsula London cocktail bar
- Atmospheric 1920s-inspired surroundings
