Aviation Day is back for 2026! The Museum’s aircraft and cockpits will be open for visitors to explore and there will be plenty of aviation-themed family activities throughout the day including pedal planes for the under 5's and an aviation themed family workshop.
There will be stands from Wings Museum, Blackbushe Heritage Trust, and BGA (who are bringing in two full-sized modern gliders), amongst others.
The Large Model Association will be bringing a wide range of model aircrafts including Hurricane, Wellington, Tiger Moth (50% size) and Vulcan - some of which will hopefully run on the day.
External organisations will be bringing in additional cockpits on display and Blades of Thunder will be displaying a range of model helicopters.
The Brooklands Concorde G-BBDG will also droop her trademark nose at 12pm. The lowering of the nose, using Concorde’s own flight-deck controls, is a spectacular sight.
Furthermore, we're delighted to announce that a fixed wing fly-in will be taking place at Aviation Day. Adding to the action above, light aircraft will be landing at Mercedes-Benz World throughout the morning and departing throughout the afternoon.
Aviation Talks - Napier room
10:45–11:45 – Peter Stammers
13:45–14:45 – Nigel Spooner
14:30–15:30 – Meet and Greet with John Tye
Unfortunately the Fixed Wing Fly-ins have been cancelled due to adverse weather.
Timetable for the fly-in:
10:30am - 12:30pm - Aircraft to land on the airstrip at Mercedes-Benz World; wristbands will be provided at Museum Admissions to allow entry to the Airstrip and to Brooklands Museum.
1pm-2pm - Airstrip open to view the aircraft up close
2:30pm-3:30pm - Aircraft will depart the Airstrip
Please note fly-ins are weather dependent.
This event will be a fitting celebration of aviation at the original home of British aviation, a spectacle for both enthusiasts and families alike.
