Brooklands Vintage Festival

  • Date May 16, 2020
  • Time 10:00am - 8:00pm
  • Suitable for Everyone

Join us at Brooklands Museum as we turn back the clock to celebrate vintage Music, Fashion, Style and Dancing.

This is a chance to put your hair up, grab your best period outfit and lace up the dance shoes.

Stock up on vintage gear at our extensive vintage trade village, featuring some of the best vintage sellers around, providing everything from original and reproduction clothing, shoes, accessories, books, home wares and original memorabilia.

The Brooklands airstrip will be open for Vintage Aircraft Fly-ins, get a spectacular view of them landing before heading on to the strip to meet the pilots*.

If all this activity gets a bit much head into the Dance Marquee behind the Motoring Sheds, where you will be able to refresh yourself with some food and drink, listen to live music, take part in a FREE dance lesson.

Any ladies wishing to refine their look should head to the Press Hut as a vintage-style hair and make-up parlour will be set up courtesy of Hair That Turns Heads. To pre-book an appointment e-mail: lucy@hairthatturnsheads.co.uk.

On the Jackson Shed lawn, there will be vintage games which the whole family can have a go at, including hopscotch, skittles, skipping ropes and noughts and crosses.

Experience wartime Brooklands – Explore the air raid shelters, hear the stories and meet the heroes of land and sky.

All the usual Museum exhibits will be open but on this day, the site will be filled with periods vehicle displays, buses and re-enactment groups. Everyone is welcome, vintage attire is not compulsory and you may even find what you're looking for in the trade village to complete your look.

* Fly-ins subject to operational and weather conditions on the day
