Touchdown at Brooklands Museum for a kerosene-fuelled day of aviation antics and activities.
The Museum’s aircraft and cockpits will be open for visitors to explore, and our live aircraft will be wheeled out onto the newly restored Finishing Straight for engine runs. There will be plenty of aviation-themed family activities throughout the day, including our popular Pedal Planes for under 5s and an aviation-themed workshop in the Shall pagoda.
The day will start with visiting light aircraft and Helicopters fly-ins to the grass airfield at Mercedes-Benz World. On the ground, there will even be a chance to see and hear some of the early aircraft in action, as we fire up the engines of the Demoiselle, Sports White, Baby White, Sopwith Camel and Vickers Vimy, followed by the 24-litre Napier-Railton and other aero-engined cars**.

Amy Johnson : Last Flight Out
An original one-person show inspired by the life of record-breaking pilot, Amy Johnson.
Amy had her ambitions and she flew at them.
Born in the year the Wright brothers made their first flight and into an age where flying would capture her heart, Amy lived her life for adventure and the future of aviation.
In 1930 she became the first woman to fly solo from England to Australia. She flew there in a beloved Gipsy Moth called Jason beating the record to India on the way.
Amy had dark days and bright ones. We meet her in a world of mixed memories, desires, wishes and ambitions and as we find out about her life we start to see how the pieces fit and the tools Amy used to bring her dreams to reality.
