Autumn Motorsport Day
- Date October 8, 2017
- Time 9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.
- Suitable for Everyone
Now a firm fixture in the motoring calendar, visitors to Autumn Motorsport Day get a double helping of action. Competition cars from all ages will be put through their paces on the adjacent Mercedes-Benz World circuit and later in the day Test Hill will be in action. Expect to see a wide variety of competition cars from Formula 1, F5000 and GTs to touring cars and Group B rally cars. As ever, spectators will have the rare opportunity to see and hear competition cars at close quarters.
Highlights include the Benetton B190 that Nelson Piquet ran in the 1990 F1 World Championship, Kevin Mason's Alonso-liveried Formula Nippon, 3,000hp dragster 'True Blood' fitted with the Donovan #144, participants from the British Cross Country Championships, BriSCA Heritage 1950s stock cars and West Surrey Racing will be their double championship winning BTCC BMW 125i M.
Farnborough District Motor Club will give visitors the chance to sample autotests demonstrations from the passenger’s seat, as skilled exponents of the art of high-accuracy manoeuvres subject them to handbrake turns around bollards and into impossibly tight spaces.
All competition and classic cars welcome through the Campbell Gate off Brooklands Road with public parking in The Heights off Wellington Way.
