Brooklands Museum is located between Weybridge and Byfleet in Surrey. Just a few minutes from Junction 10 of the M25 and the A3 London-Portsmouth trunk road or half an hour on the train from London Waterloo. Please note Brooklands Museum in not within the ULEZ boundary.

 

The main Museum car park is FREE and located at the main entrance.
For larger events, additional parking is available in The Heights off Wellington Way. Follow event parking signs and marshals on event days.

Main access for visitors

Satnav users
The postcode for our visitor car park is KT13 0SL for most satnavs. If you are using a satellite navigation system, then please follow the brown and white tourist signs once you reach the Brooklands area, as your navigation system may incorrectly direct you to a private entrance.

From the M25
Take the A3 towards London for approx. half a mile. Exit at Painshill junction, taking the A245 towards Byfleet. Follow the brown ‘Brooklands Museum’ signs to the Mercedes-Benz World entrance, marked by the Concorde Gate Guardian.
→ Then follow Brooklands Drive around the back of the Mercedes-Benz World building until you reach the Museum car park.

From Weybridge
Follow the brown signs along Brooklands Road (B374) and Wellington Way to Mercedes-Benz World, marked by the Concorde Gate Guardian.

From Woking
From the A245, turn left into Sopwith Drive at Brooklands.
→ Go straight across the first roundabout (by Tesco), then across the next (entrance to Mercedes-Benz World).

From the M25

  • Take A3 towards L

  • ondon, exit at Painshill junction, follow A245 to Byfleet.

  • At the first roundabout, turn right into Brooklands Road (B374).

  • At the next roundabout, ignore the brown signs and go straight.

  • After 300m, take the left entrance signed Campbell Gate entrance.

From Weybridge

  • Follow signs to Brooklands Museum until the Weybridge Railway Station roundabout.

  • Continue on Brooklands Road (B374).

  • After 1 mile, Locke King Road is on the right.

  • 100m past that, Campbell Gate entrance is on the right.

From Woking

  • From the A245, turn left into Brooklands Road (B374).

  • At the next roundabout, go straight (ignore signs to Museum & Mercedes-Benz World).

  • After 300m, take the left entrance signed Campbell Gate entrance.

Getting to Brooklands Museum by train is one of the easiest and most convenient ways to arrive. 
The nearest station is Weybridge, served by frequent South Western Railway services from London Waterloo, with journey times of around 30–35 minutes.

Direct trains also connect Weybridge with key locations including Woking and Basingstoke, making it well linked across the region.

From the station, the Museum is just a short taxi ride, bus journey on the 436, or a pleasant 20-30 minute walk. 

Getting to Brooklands Museum by bus is a straightforward and convenient option, especially from nearby towns and rail stations. Regular local services connect the Museum to Weybridge, Addlestone, Woking and surrounding areas, with stops located within a short walking distance of the entrance.

The 436 (run by Falcon Buses) connects Woking (30mins), West Byfleet, Byfleet, Brooklands and Weybridge. It runs every day, typically up to every 30 minutes. You can catch it directly from Weybridge station or the town centre.

Best stop for Brooklands Museum is Mercedes-Benz World / Brooklands Hotel, then it’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the Museum entrance.

If you’re travelling from further afield, you can take a train to Weybridge station and then catch a connecting bus or taxi for the final leg. Buses typically run throughout the day.

Arriving at Brooklands Museum on foot or by bike is a great way to start your visit.

The Museum is within easy walking distance of Weybridge town centre and railway station, with pleasant routes that take you through the local area and into the historic Brooklands site.

If you come by bike, there are convenient cycle paths nearby and bike parking available on arrival. Whether you choose to walk or ride, it’s a relaxed, sustainable way to reach Brooklands Museum.

We have bike racks located by our gift shop and admission building for visitors to lock their own bikes while visiting. Visitors need to bring their own locks and leave their bikes at their own risk.

Brooklands Museum’s nearest international airports are Heathrow (30mins by car) and Gatwick (40mins) and London City (80mins). Farnborough (40mins) and Fairoaks (20mins) airports also serve the local area.

Heathrow Airport
Getting to Brooklands Museum from Heathrow Airport is quick and straightforward, the simplest route is by car or taxi, with a journey time of around 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Alternatively, you can travel by public transport.

Train
Take the Heathrow Express or the Elizabeth Line from Heathrow into London (Paddington). From there, transfer to a South Western Railway service to Weybridge from London Waterloo. Total journey time is typically around 60-75 minutes.

Then continue by local bus or a short taxi ride to the Museum.

Bus
For a more direct but slower option, take the RailAir coach (RA2/RA1) or local bus routes towards Woking, then connect onto the 436 bus, which stops right by Brooklands Hotel. This option usually takes over 90 minutes but avoids central London.

Gatwick Airport
Getting to Brooklands Museum from Gatwick Airport is straightforward, the simplest route is by car or taxi, with a journey time of around 40 minutes depending on traffic.

Alternatively, you can travel by public transport.

Take a train from Gatwick Airport to Clapham Junction, then change onto a South Western Railway service direct to Weybridge. The journey typically takes around 45-60 minutes, making it a fast and reliable option.

There are some good car hire options.

There is a good selection of different accommodation in the local area, but it can book up fast close to our events.

Brooklands Hotel is a 5-10 minute walk away.

If you’re using public transport, we recommend Woking, Guildford, Walton-on-Thames, or Guildford as they’re all within 30 minutes of Weybridge railway station.
