Filming & location hire
Brooklands Museum could be just the location that you are looking for.
We have an experienced filming team who understand the operational needs of film crews and will be on-hand at all times during filming and have assisted with productions such as The Crown, James May's Toy Stories and Antiques Roadshow to name but a few.
Brooklands Museum is located between Weybridge and Byfleet in Surrey. Just a few minutes from Junction 10 of the M25 and the A3 London-Portsmouth trunk road or half an hour on the train from London Waterloo.
There is free on-site parking and a café for refreshments along with areas that can be used as dressing rooms, green rooms and production offices. Our catering team can arrange for hospitality, especially during out-of-hours filming. There are also numerous local hotels, pubs and restaurants.
Filming within the Museum
Whilst, we warmly welcome filming at the Museum, please remember that we are first and foremost a visitor attraction so ask that all filming takes place outside of our opening hours where possible. Where that’s not possible we welcome daytime filming, but we ask that you work with us to ensure our other visitors also have a great day. Please be advised that no filming may take place in the Museum at weekends.
All film crews will be required to have public liability insurance, to the minimum value of £10m, when filming on site. We will also need copies of risk assessments, method statements and a signed contract. Please refer to our terms and conditions for further details.
There is a charge for filming and photography on site, and these rates will be discussed once an enquiry is made.

Locations
Brooklands Museum comprises of an Edwardian Grade II listed Clubhouse which opened in 1907, consequently we have period features including the clerk of the course office, Press Office as well as many historical buildings such as the Shell pagoda and BP refuelling station. Elsewhere on the site we have the Aircraft factory (in an original hangar) that boasts a Wellington Bomber, and the Flight Shed that houses a Hawker Harrier, Sopwith Camel amongst others. We can also offer the Barnes Wallis-designed Stratosphere Chamber which was built in 1946 to investigate high-speed flight at very high altitudes, and our Aircraft Park with a range of aircraft from 1940's to the turn of the century including the iconic Concorde.
Motoring wise, we have a range of heritage cars, motorcycles as well as bicycles in the original Racing Sheds. Additionally, the Jackson Shed holds a host of F1 cars from over the decades including one from the first ever Grand Prix held here at Brooklands circuit in 1926. Needless to say the world's first purpose built racetrack remains a key draw to the site when past crews have re-enacted thrilling race sequences.
Filming and photography requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the proposed date by completing the enquiry form.
