Michael has been part of the Brooklands volunteer family for more than 30 years, dedicating his time and expertise to the Motorcycle Team. A familiar face in the Motorcycle Shed, Michael helps care for and share the stories of the Museum’s remarkable collection, bringing history to life for visitors of all ages. His passion, knowledge and commitment have helped preserve an important part of Brooklands’ heritage, ensuring future generations can continue to enjoy and learn from these incredible machines. 

Alastair Duncan, a volunteer in our Aircraft Factory Team

Alastair has been sharing his time, knowledge and enthusiasm as a volunteer at Brooklands Museum for many years, helping bring the stories of the Aircraft Factory to life. Through his passion for aviation history and his engaging approach with visitors, Alastair helps people connect with the extraordinary achievements that took place on the Brooklands site. Geraldine Band, a volunteer in our Concorde Team

Geraldine brings a truly unique perspective to her volunteer role at Brooklands Museum. A former Concorde cabin attendant, she now shares her first-hand experiences as part of the Concorde Team, helping visitors discover what it was really like to travel aboard the world's most iconic supersonic airliner. Through her stories, knowledge and enthusiasm, Geraldine brings Concorde to life in a way that only someone who worked on the aircraft can. Her dedication helps preserve not only the history of this remarkable aircraft, but also the human experiences behind it.

John Corden, a volunteer in our Motoring Team

John Corden is a valued member of the Brooklands Museum Motoring Team, helping to maintain and run many of the historic vehicles that bring the site’s motoring heritage to life. With a family connection to Brooklands stretching back to the 1920s, the history of the circuit is truly in his blood. His passion for the collection, combined with his practical skills and knowledge, helps ensure these remarkable vehicles can continue to be cared for and enjoyed by future generations. Jamie Downes, a volunteer in our Aircraft Park Team

Jamie Downes is a dedicated volunteer in the Aircraft Park at Brooklands Museum, where he helps visitors explore some of the most iconic aircraft in the collection. With a particular passion for the VC10, Jamie enjoys sharing the stories, engineering achievements and aviation heritage behind this much-loved aircraft. Helen Heron, a volunteer in our Gardening Team

Helen Heron helps make Brooklands Museum a welcoming and beautiful place for everyone who visits. As a volunteer gardener, she lovingly cares for the Museum’s borders, seasonal displays and memorial garden, creating spaces that visitors can enjoy throughout the year. Paul Trowbridge, a volunteer in our Jackson Shed Team

Andy Lambert, a volunteer in our Aircraft Factory Team

Andy Lambert is one of Brooklands Museum's longest-serving volunteers, having dedicated decades of his time, knowledge and passion to helping preserve the site's remarkable aviation heritage. Over the years, he has played a key role in many of the aircraft retrieval projects that have helped build and shape the Museum's collection, often working behind the scenes to ensure important pieces of aviation history were saved for future generations. His contribution has helped transform the Aircraft Park into the inspiring place visitors enjoy today.
