Triumph T80 Freddy Clarke Special 350cc

1939, ERA Shed, On long term display

This motorcycle is based on a Triumph Tiger 80 and is a faithful recreation of the 350cc T80 motorcycle built and raced at Brooklands by Freddy Clarke. Research has revealed that this motorcycle set one of the last speed records to be set prior to the track closure in 1939. Freddy achieved a speed of 109 mph on this Triumph Factory developed machine in practice before finally breaking the 350cc record at 105.97 mph in April 1939. This recreation had its inaugural run at the Banked Circuit at Monterey in France in 2019
