Raleigh Sports Model

1936, Racing Lock-ups, On long term display

The unusual splayed frame construction on the down tubes reflect the fashion for shorter skirts in the 1930s, although the intention was to strengthen the frame. It also has cable-operated hub brakes. Sturmey-Archer 3-speed gears with handlebar gear changer, a metal Raleigh head badge, a Brooks leatherette sprung saddle and a luggage rack.
