Rytecraft ‘Scootacar’

Rytecraft Scootacars were designed for road use by Jack Shillan, as a petrol version of the electrically driven fairground ‘dodgem’ cars.

The Scootacar’s were built between 1934 and 1940. Many were built in the style of Vauxhalls or Chryslers. Very few of the 1000 Scootacars made are known to survive today. It has belonged to the current owner since 1959 and among its previous owners was J.H. Christie of Murders at 10 Rillington Place fame.
