This bicycle was bought shop-soiled for £3.2s.6d. (£3.12½p) from the Raleigh showrooms in Holborn Viaduct, early in 1933 where it had been on display. It is a typical clubman’s touring cycle with shallow North Road handlebars and a Brooks B72 saddle. A Sturmey-Archer 3-speed hub (a later fitting) helped when the terrain became harder. It has its original black paint with the usual red and gold lining but an incorrect chainset is fitted.
