This bicycle was purchased from W E Birkhead’s of Church Street, Walton-on-Thames in 1946 and used regularly until 1972. Almost every part of this 1930s designed Lady’s Roadster was made within the Raleigh factory. It had Dunlop tyres, front and rear rim brakes, a Brooks saddle and came with a tool bag. The low build allowed the rider to place a foot on the ground without moving from the saddle.
