Advertised as a boy’s status symbol, this original Raleigh design imitated the American ‘Chopper’ motorcycle with its high-rise handlebars, large foam-filled saddle and ‘racy’ shock absorbers. It also featured Sturmey-Archer 3-speed gears with T-bar gearshift and indicator panel.
