Finished in all black, the chrome plating was omitted to make maintenance easier and reduce production costs. The hub brakes were more efficient in the wet and a full chaincase kept the drive chain and the rider’s clothing cleaner. A Sturmey-Archer ‘KB’ 4-speed wide ratio geared hub is fitted into the rear wheel with a barrel control lever on the handlebars. A tool bag is behind the saddle, as originally supplied and a luggage rack and a Raleigh badged pump complete the fittings. The original black paint is lined in gold and red.
