When this model was being produced, the Raleigh factory covered over 40 acres and employed 7,000 people. Advertised as the most completely equipped bicycle in the world, it was made up of over 1,800 individually manufactured parts.

This model featured solid end forks, Sturmey-Archer 4-speed gears, stainless steel rims and spokes, kit bag and a patent thief-proof lock in the fork. It has survived in original condition although the handlebar grips have perished and the hub dynamo and battery box are missing.
