Morgan JAP 3-wheeler
This Morgan was built to the special requirements of Clive Lones and raced by him at Brooklands from 1929 to 1935.
It achieved 37 World Records and, in 1930, was the first Light Car to lap the Brooklands Outer Circuit at 100 mph for which it was awarded a Gold Star by the British Motorcycle Racing Club.
It was also the ‘C’ Car in all the Light Car Club Races from 1931 to 1935.
This car was also part of the Morgan team that, in 1931, experimented with pits-to-driver radio contact. The loudspeakers were defeated by noise, but the occasion attracted significant press attention.
