Douglas Works 499cc

This motorcycle was used by Graeme Brown at Brooklands.

Graeme Brown ran a Douglas motorcycle dealership in Godalming and raced at Brooklands from 1924-1935, winning the Essex Cup in 1925 and the J.A. Prestwich Cup in 1932.

The Douglas Works 499cc was used from 1927 to 1929 for competition and record attempts at Brooklands. It was one of only 3 of its type made by Douglas in 1927. It features the 1926 TT frame and a long stroke OHV engine.
