Ariel 500cc Red Hunter
This motorcycle was designed by Ariel’s chief designer Val Page, who later went on to work for Triumph and BSA.
This race tuned Ariel Red Hunter was designed by Val Page who worked for Ariel from 1925. Page, who became Ariel’s chief designer, created the overhead cam 500cc sports model in 1930, which was developed further by his successor Edward Turner.
The basic engine design stayed in production until the late 1950s when Ariel switched away from four stroke engines to build the ultra-modern two stroke motorcycles.
