Raleigh Cycle Exhibition
The building links with the ERA shed and continues the story of the quest for speed, efficiency, and safety in the Raleigh Cycle Exhibition.
The Raleigh Cycle Exhibition follows the development of cycling from the ‘Hobby-horse’ and ‘Penny Farthing’. The exhibition also includes the earliest known Raleigh ‘Safety’ bicycle in the reconstructed Raleigh Street Workshop; the influence of the bicycle on social change; 100 years of racing cycles and the record breaking 200 mph carbon fibre ‘Ultimate Bike’ of 1995.
