The thunder of motorcycles will return to the birthplace of British motorsport this August as Brooklands Museum hosts a spectacular three-day festival celebrating 125 years of Indian Motorcycle.
Taking place from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August 2026, the Indian Motorcycle 125th Anniversary Festival and National Rally will bring together riders, enthusiasts and some extraordinary machines for a Bank Holiday weekend of action, entertainment and motorcycle heritage.
Presented by Indian Motorcycle Reading in association with Brooklands Museum, the festival will celebrate the remarkable story of America’s oldest motorcycle company at a venue where Indian motorcycles were making history more than a century ago.
Brooklands, the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit, became an important proving ground for early motorcycle manufacturers after opening in 1907. In 1911, Indian factory rider Jake DeRosier set a series of records at the Surrey circuit, becoming the first rider to lap Brooklands at more than 90mph.
Now, 115 years later, Indian Motorcycle will return to the historic track for a celebration spanning the brand’s pioneering past, its motorcycles of today and the racing machines of the future.
The weekend begins on Friday 28 August with riders arriving at Brooklands for an evening of Americana rock live music, BBQ food, Brooklands brand new Simulator Experience, Concorde tours and late opening of the Museum’s original Motor Sheds.
Saturday 29 August will see the festival move into top gear with the main event. Highlights will include talks from special guests, trade stands, Rodeo Bull, Live Motorcycle Stunt Show, live bands, a custom bike show and competitions.
A King of the Baggers race bike will also be on display, connecting Indian Motorcycle’s earliest racing achievements with one of the most spectacular forms of modern motorcycle competition.
In one of the weekend’s most anticipated moments, participating Indian Motorcycle riders will also have the opportunity to run their motorcycles on a surviving section of the legendary Brooklands track - following in the wheel tracks of the pioneering riders who raced and broke records there more than a century ago.
The celebrations will continue into the evening, with live music from legendary British radio DJ, Neil ‘Dr’ Fox until 11pm and hundreds of motorcycles expected to create an unforgettable atmosphere across the historic site.
The three-day festival concludes on Sunday 30 August as the Indian Motorcycle rally joins Brooklands Museum’s popular American Day. The site will be filled with American cars and motorcycles, including Mustangs, Dodges, Chevrolets and hot rods, alongside themed entertainment, dancing, food and a feast of chrome.
Alex Patterson, CEO of Brooklands Museum said:
“Brooklands has always been a place where people and machines have pushed boundaries, and Indian Motorcycle is an important part of that story.
“More than a century ago, Indian riders were setting extraordinary records on our famous track. To welcome the marque back to Brooklands for its 125th anniversary - and see motorcycles taking to part of the historic track once again - will be a very special moment.
“This promises to be a spectacular Bank Holiday weekend, bringing together heritage, modern engineering, racing, music and entertainment at the home of speed, flight and innovation.”
Ryan Leadbitter, Director of Indian Motorcycle Reading said:
“This is far more than a motorcycle rally. It is a celebration of 125 years of history, innovation and the spirit of riding, at one of the most important venues in global motoring history.
“Brooklands and Indian Motorcycle share an extraordinary connection, and we are creating a weekend that celebrates everything from the pioneering riders of the early 1900s to the incredible machines and racing achievements of today.
“All bikers and riders are welcome, and we cannot wait to see Brooklands filled with motorcycles for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend.”
The Indian Motorcycle 125th Anniversary Festival takes place at Brooklands Museum, Weybridge, Surrey, from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August 2026.
The festival is open to all bikers and riders. Three-day tickets are available, while Brooklands Museum will be offering their members a special member rate for the event.
