Steve Parrish is bringing along his Moto GP commentating mate Charlie Cox to Brooklands. You may have heard their commentary on the BBC and you can expect much the same repartee and tall tales as they come together "off air"!
Charlie began his career in Australia on four wheels as a driver in production car racing. He moved to the UK and took part in the 93 and 94 seasons of the National Saloon Car Championship and then the BTCC in a Ford RS Cosworth. In 1995 he had a spectacular barrel roll crash at Thruxton leaving him with concussion. He returned to the track after recovering and became the first person to drive a Ford Mondeo in the BTCC.
In 1997 he began commentating on the BTCC with Murray Walker and then moved to Moto GP when the BBC dropped their coverage where he worked with Steve Parrish and Suzy Perry.
For one season he was a co-host of Australian Top Gear.
The event takes place on the Napier Room of the Brooklands Clubhouse.
Please enter via the Campbell Gate off Brooklands Road (marked JTI) and park on the Museum site (not in The Paddock please).
