Photo Competition Winners Announced
The 2018 BTM Photo Competition was a great success with around 140 photos submitted for final judging. The range of subjects reflected most of Brooklands life including families enjoying themselves, volunteers tinkering with machinery, cars, motorbikes, aircraft and buses. Our judge, Jason Dodd, had an unenviable task in choosing the top twelve photos to appear in the BTM 2019 Wall Calendar and an even harder job to choose a winner from those. He did, though, and that winner was Phil Johnson with his photo of volunteers making some last minute adjustments to a motorbike outside the ERA shed.
The other winning photos reflect Brooklands in many different ways but the expression on the sidecar passengers face in Paul Bruton's photo on Test Hill is priceless and the overhead shot by Robert Goldschmidt is highly unusual looking down the wing of an ex-RAF Bulldog.
We will be running a competition again next year so it's worth bearing in mind when you are visiting Brooklands during the year and looking for those great Brooklands pictures, you never know - you could be winner too!
Congratulations to Phil Johnson, the overall winner who receives a great prize of a place on one of Jason Dodd's Photographic Courses for 2019
Congratulations to for runners-up Callum Simpson, Paul Bruton, Stephen Thrift, Paul Hitchens, Glen McCullough, Ken Smith, Michael Snow, Richard Goldschmidt, Derek Herbert, Stephen Hewes and Steve Mundy who all receive a copy of the 2019 calendar.
