Postponed: Classic Talk: Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway

Please Note: This event has been postponed due to the Coronavirus Outbreak. We will announce a new date once the current situation becomes clearer.

You may not have realised but there is a strong link between Brooklands and the RHDR.

Two Brooklands racers Capt JP Howey and Count Zborowski  were also keen miniature railway enthusiasts and wanted to design the best miniature railway in the World. Count Zborowski had already constructed a 15inch miniature railway in the grounds of his home at Higham Park in Kent. Following the Count's death at the Italian Grand Prix in 1924 Capt Howey continued the RHDR project.

Tonight we will look at both of these figures from their racing days at Brooklands to the opening of the railway in 1927, its military service in the 1940s and the railway today.
