Postponed: Project 240 - Vickers at Weybridge - the Early Years

  • Sorry this event has been cancelled

Please Note: This event has been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We will announce a new date once the current situation has become clearer.

Former CEO & Director Allan Winn returns to the Museum to deliver the first lecture in the "Project 220" series.

He will be looking at the formation of Vickers and how & why they arrived at Weybridge in 1911. The impact that Vickers had on the track and local area and the aircraft that were developed, flown and built on site up to the early 1920s.

This is part one of the series and we continue on 30th July with Harry Sherrard who will continue the story up to the end of the Second World War.

Project 240 is a Members initiative that looks at the social history and impact on local life and community of Vickers Armstrongs & BAC.
