This is a drive your own vehicle visit
Nigel Webb has again kindly invited Members to visit his private museum which houses a fascinating collection of cars and memorabilia relating to the great Mike Hawthorn.
Nigel’s interest in Mike Hawthorn began at a very young age and over the years he has accumulated a wealth of knowledge about this charismatic and popular driver who was 1958 World Motor Racing Champion and who still remains in our memories.
Nigel has always loved Jaguars, and races several himself, as well as owning the same XK150 for 40 years. His collection includes, amongst others, Mike's 1955 D-type driven at Le Mans and an XJ13 replica.
For more information about Mike Hawthorn & the Museum see; http://www.mike-hawthorn.org.uk
Nigel has offered to provide tea, coffee, cheese & biscuits but you can bring your own picnic lunch, as well as chairs and/or rugs. There is plenty of room for your picnic to be enjoyed on the lawn or in the field with the classic cars, after viewing the collection
Members will make their own way to the Museum to arrive at around Midday.
An invitation/ticket will be sent that you will need to bring with you on the day
You may take photographs but for security purposes you MUST be sure that any that are on the web do not include the Museum's location reference.
