""That's one Small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind". We all remember that out-of-this-world famous one-liner from 20th July 1969, firmly cementing that year as one of the most significant in history. It's 50 years on now and we take a look back at that golden year - the pinnacle of the space race, Woodstock, Counter Culture, Abbey Road, Concorde, the new 50p, Fashion, Culture, and Politics to name but a few. The evening will be in two parts:
Part One: Harry Sherrard will be looking at the Apollo 11 mission and Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon.
Part Two: Following Jenny Lockyer's and Vern Griffiths' brilliant 'Last Flight Out' play and Preparing for Peace at BTM Talks in 2018, they are presenting their take on the highlights of 1969. With a mixture of songs, sketches and some good natured audience participation theirs is an informed but not too formal look at one of the most momentous years in our history."
