Coronavirus and Brooklands Members
22 March 2020
Message from the Chairman:-
"Primarily, Coronavirus is a threat to the health and wellbeing of all of us and our loved ones, but with the situation changing on an hourly basis, anything I predict will be overtaken by events in the next 24 hours. So, I will concentrate on what we know now, as it affects the Museum, and you as Members.
The Museum has taken the very difficult decision to close to visitors as of 20 March at 17.00. An announcement on re-opening will be made in due course.
Your continued membership is even more vital to the Museum than ever before, with gate receipts and other income drying up rapidly. I know that access to the Museum is a vital benefit of your membership, and if you are unable to visit the Museum for a protracted period, we will extend memberships, with details to follow in a few weeks. In order to maintain our relationship with you, which I have said is more important than ever, we will ensure that you are kept informed of developments, by e-newsletter or here on Social Media. We hope to continue the publication of the Bulletin, and the next issue should be with you by the end of April.
Please bear with us during this difficult time, and if you need to contact the Membership Office, please use email, as our staff are working from home and will not be able to respond to telephone calls.
Finally, please stay safe, and take care of those close to you. We look forward to welcoming you all back to enjoy Brooklands again when this nightmare is over.
Thank you all for your understanding and continued support.
