2017 Classic Car Show & Jumble
2017 saw a gear change with over 3,500 visitors to the show and more than 400 cars taking part. Appropriately , as it was the 110th Anniversary of Brooklands, we had 110 Trade and car boot stalls selling all manner of vintage goods and car parts.
More car clubs attended and there was more space on the newly re-opened Finishing Straight to display them and individual cars. There was more of a dividing line between the Jumble and car show with Jumblers taking over the Motoring Village side of the Club House and the show on the Finishing Straight and Hangar side. This meant it was safer for people to browse the stalls without cars moving about!
Interviews with owners of interesting cars took place in a small arena and there was a radio control control car challenge for the kids along with other small games on the BTM stand.
The MGF Register won the Club stand trophy for the second year running (pictured above) and the overall car of the show was a splendid Vauxhall Victor owned by Tracy Holmes
