Fitting tribute for former president, Stirling Moss
06 October 2021
A stellar cast of vehicles were on display at the Museum on 12 September, to honour the life of Our First President Sir Stirling Moss, who sadly passed away aged 90 on 12 April 2020.
It was a unique opportunity for Members and visitors to get close to so many vehicles associated with this legend of Motorsport. The incredible line-up of over 30 cars was comprised of many of Sir Stirling Moss's most iconic drives. Highlights taking to the Finishing Straight for demonstration runs included the 1957 Vanwall, the 1961 TT winning Ferrari 250 GT, the 1960 Lotus 19 and the Lotus 18 Climax that Stirling used to win the Monaco Grand Prix in 1961.
Have a look through the event images from the day, or head over to the BMtv Vimeo to watch the Stirling Moss tribute collection.
