Accounts Assistant (part time)

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and bright individual to be part of our Finance Team. Under the guidance of the Finance Director the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for:

  • All aspects of purchase and sales ledger including debtor management
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Preparation and reconciliation of floats for admission and retail points
  • Assisting with month and year end procedures
  • Petty cash management
  • Assist with management of direct debit scheme
  • Other Sage/accounting functions as the role may require
  • To be successful in this position you will have a background in a similar role with some strong accounts experience to include sales and purchase ledger. Sage experience and a proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) are essential.

    Exhibition Technician

    Brooklands Museum is seeking an Exhibition Technician to ensure that the displays in the Aircraft Factory, Flight Shed and on the Finishing Straight, that are due to open later this year as part of the £8M Heritage Lottery-funded Brooklands Aircraft Factory & Race Track Revival Project, are maintained to a high standard for visitors. The displays in the Aircraft Factory in particular will be highly interactive so this role will require practical skills to ensure that the displays remain operational.

    Experience of working in a customer-facing environment in a technical support capacity is preferable, together with relevant City and Guilds, NVQ or equivalent. This is a full-time post. Brooklands Museum is a Registered Charity and an equal opportunity employer.

    Volunteer & Staff Resources Manager

    Brooklands Museum is seeking a Volunteer & Staff Resources Manager to look after the recruitment and deployment of the volunteers who assist in the efficient running of the Museum. This includes setting daily rosters, induction of new volunteers, ensuring that appropriate training is given, maintaining the volunteer database and generally acting as a liaison between staff and volunteers. In addition, the appointee will manage staff Human Resources in conjunction with senior management of the Museum.

    There is a staff of approximately 35 (full time equivalent) and the Museum is heavily reliant on approximately 600 active volunteers, who act as stewards, work in project teams on restoration and also help with administrative tasks and the running of our many weekend events.
