Monday - Thursday this summer holiday (from 28th July – 29th August, excluding Bank Holiday Monday 25th) our popular car rides will be operating from 11am-1pm and from 2-4pm (subject to weather). For a requested donation of £1, take a trip in a vintage-style car up Test Hill and along the Members’ Banking of the old Brooklands Race Track, courtesy of the Brooklands Volunteer Car Rides Team.
Look out for Bertie the Brooklands Bear, who will be making guest appearances or try out our family workshop ‘Brooklands Explorers – World War One’ - Join us for our World War One handling session as we explore the reasons men joined up to serve their country and why others stayed at home. While we learn about our forces in the past, say thank you to our forces in the present by writing a message for a serving soldier or veteran, which we will send on to them via the Royal British Legion.
Sessions run from 4th - 8th August at 11.00am to 12.30pm and from 1.00pm to 3.30pm. All materials will be provided.
Children visiting this Summer Holiday can also enter our Young Photographer Competition. The theme this year is Brooklands Engineering. Whilst visiting the museum this summer capture what you think represents Brooklands Engineering, then submit the photos to our Young Photographer Competition.
