The Brooklands RetroJumble is an established event that has traditionally combined car, motor cycle and aero jumble stalls in keeping with the Museum’s own collection of aircraft, motor cars and motorbikes. More recently it has also encompassed vintage and retro items such as clothing and gifts. And now there is the BTM Classic Car Show on the same day to fill the Museum site with classic vehicles of all ages. The show is open to anyone with a classic, vintage or veteran vehicle and there is discounted Museum entry for advance booking with a classic vehicle. (Brooklands Trust Members free). Car clubs are welcome.
All cars will be judged and prizes awarded in three categories.
There will be three classes with Trophies awarded to the best cars, in the opinion of the judges, in each. The classes this year will be:
Class A) Brooklands Era (Pre-1939)
Class B) Baby Boomers (1940 to 1980)
Class C) Moderns (Sports cars 1981 to Present)
Parking for visitors is in The Heights off Wellington Way - normal prices apply from 10am, with Early Bird prices of £15 for adults and £4 for Brooklands Trust Members applying between 8.30 and 10am. Classic cars will enter the Museum site via the Campbell entrance off Brooklands Road.
More information for exhibitors may be found on the BTM jumble website http://www.brooklandsmembers.co.uk/auto-jumble
