Napier Railton facts
The Brooklands Outer Circuit lap record of 143mph taken in 1935 by the Napier Railton was never beaten.

The car is now on display in the Speed Record Exhibition in the Motoring Village at Brooklands Museum.

  


Education

Brooklands Museum has run a successful education programme for over ten years with over 7000 children visiting in school parties every year. Our Key Stage 1 visits cover transport, history and forces with Key Stage 2 visits to study forces, Britain since 1930, the Second World War and local history also proving popular. A session in Discovery@Brooklands, our interactive science gallery that demonstrates many scientific principles in the Key Stages 1 and 2 National Curriculum, can be arranged as part of any visit. Provision can also be made for Key Stage 3, GCSE, A Level, GNVQ, College and University groups by arrangement.

We welcome a free pre-visit for teachers to ensure that we provide a schedule that meets with your specific requirements.
